Who we are

Alsace's Chemical Cluster fosters fruitful interactions between key partners of the regional chemicals industry in the broadest sense and aims at transforming Alsace’s chemistry into an efficient field through concrete actions. Industrialists and academics, smaller and bigger firms, producers and middlemen… All have a role to play in Alsace's Chemical Cluster.

Alsace's Chemical Cluster builds on a dynamic strategy in order to invent and develop the "green chemistry". It is supported in this endeavor by numerous institutions (Europe, State, Region…) and has been awarded the label "regional cluster of excellence".

Alsace's Chemical Cluster is neither a lobby, nor a pressure group, nor a specialized recruitment agency.

Organization

Alsace's Chemical Cluster is animated by the Association for the Promotion and Development of Chemistry.

The steering committee, which members are elected by their peers, determines Alsace's Chemical Cluster’s global strategy. The actual steering committee is composed of:

A permanent council assists the steering committee on a daily basis in the carrying out of their objectives: Mr Christophe Winkelmuller (Director), Ms. Chimène Le Merdy (Deputy Director).

The total sum of contribution is determined by the members themselves and adapted to the nature and size of each actor in the field.
